The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 and the drivers driving, 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 Verily your God is One. 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 They pay no attention when they are reminded 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Tell them: “Yes; and you are utterly helpless (against Allah).” 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
