Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 Noble and recording; 11 Who know what you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
