The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Read - for thy Sustainer is the Most Bountiful One 3 Who hath taught mankind by the pen 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Yet man behaves arrogantly, 6 whenever he believes himself to be self-sufficient: 7 Surely to your Lord is your return. 8 What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 Have you seen if he is upon guidance 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees? 14 No indeed; if he does not desist, We shall drag him by the forelock; 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 So let him call his associates, 17 We will call the angels of Hell. 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
