Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

DOOMED are the hands of him of the glowing countence: and doomed is he! 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 he shall roast at a flaming fire 3 and his wife, laden with firewood 4 Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
