And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - 10 The folk of Pharaoh. Will they not ward off (evil)? 11 'My Lord' he replied, 'I fear they will belie me 12 I feel nervous and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron with me. 13 And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me." 14 He said: by no means. So go ye twain with Our signs; verily We shall be with you listening. 15 “Therefore approach Firaun then proclaim, ‘We both are Noble Messengers of the Lord Of The Creation.’ 16 Then send with us the children of Israel. 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst, and thou wast one of the ingrates. 19 Moses replied, "I did that when I was one of the misguided, 20 Then I fled for fear of you. Then my Lord bestowed wisdom and authority on me and made me one of the Messengers. 21 "And this is the favour with which thou dost reproach me,- that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 The Pharaoh asked, "Who is the Lord of the Universe?" 23 He said, 'The Lord of the heavens and earth, and what between them is, if you have faith.' 24 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Do you not hear (what he says)?" 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 26 Pharaoh said, "This messenger who has been sent to you is surely possessed!" 27 Moses said, "He is the Lord of the East and the West, and all that lies between them, if only you could understand." 28 (Pharaoh) said: "If thou dost put forward any god other than me, I will certainly put thee in prison!" 29 'What, even if I brought you something clear' said he (Moses). 30 [Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful." 31 So (Moses) cast his staff, and lo, it turned into a living serpent. 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
