Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 And cleaving their way therein into the host, 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
