Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
