Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 your ideas are confused. 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in the heaven lies your sustenance, and the promise you are given. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak. 23
