1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 apart from Allah, and direct them to the path of Hell, 23 And halt them, to be questioned: 24 "How is it that [now] you cannot succour one another?" 25 Nay, but that day they shall submit (to Judgment); 26 And they will approach one another blaming each other. 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 They shall say: Nay, you (yourselves) were not believers; 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 “So the Word of our Lord has proved true upon us; we will surely have to taste (the punishment).” 31 We led you astray as we were ourselves astray." 32 Then verily, that Day, they will (all) share in the torment. 33 As such We shall deal with the evildoers. 34 For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornful 35 And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?" 36 In fact, he had brought them the truth and had acknowledged the Messengers (who were sent before him). 37 Verily ye are going to taste a torment afflictive. 38 And you shall not be rewarded except (for) what you did. 39 Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 40 Those! theirs shall be a provision known: 41 Fruits; and they shall be honoured, 42 in the Gardens of Bliss, 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 No headiness there shall be therein, nor shall they be therewith inebriated. 47 And with them shall be damsels of refraining looks, large-eyed 48 [as free of faults] as if they were hidden [ostrich] eggs. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 One of them says, 'I had a comrade 51 Who used to say: 'Are you one of those who can testify to the truth? 52 Can we, when we are dead and have become mere dust and bones - can we (then) verily be brought to book? 53 He will say: -- Do you wish to know where he is now?' 54 Then he will look downwards, and will see him in the depths of Hell. 55 He says, 'By God, wellnigh thou didst destroy me; 56 “And were it not for the munificence of my Lord, I too would have been seized and brought forth (captive)!” 57 Are we not then to die 58 except for our first death? And shall we suffer no chastisement?'” 59 This is certainly the greatest triumph 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)? 62 We have made this (tree) a trial for the evildoers. 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hellfire: 64 Its crop is as it were the heads of devils 65 They will eat and fill their bellies with it, 66 On top of it they shall have a brew of boiling water, 67 Then their return will be to the same blazing Hell. 68 Surely they found their fathers going astray, 69 so they are rushing to follow in their footsteps. 70 And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them; 71 and We had sent among them Messengers to warn them. 72 and behold, how was the end of them that were warned, 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
