Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
