The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what offence was she killed? 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves, 16 And the night when it departs, 17 The rising dawn, 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel – peace and blessings be upon him.) 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 When whither go ye? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
