The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event (the resurrection) comes 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 Abasing exalting. 3 When the earth shall be shaken with a (severe) shaking, 4 and the mountains crumbled, 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand? 9 And the foremost are the foremost, 10 These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah), 11 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). 12 A large group from the earlier generations. 13 And a few from among the latter. 14 They (will be seated) on gold-encrusted couches, 15 reclining upon them, facing one another [in love]. 16 they will be waited on by ageless youths 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 Wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication. 19 And fruit that they prefer 20 and such flesh of fowl as they desire, 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 Like pearls within their shells, 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 They will not hear any unnecessary or sinful talk 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 And those on the right how (fortunate) are those on the right! 27 Among thorn-less lote-trees. 28 and clustered bananas, 29 and amid the extended shade 30 And water everflowing. 31 And fruit in plenty 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 And maidens incomparable. 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 Then We have made them virgins, 36 loving and of equal age. 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
