Those who do not believe, say: "When we and our fathers have turned to dust, how shall we be raised again? 67 We were told about this and so were our forefathers before us. But these are no more than fairy tales that have been recounted from ancient times." 68 Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Travel in the land and see the nature of the sequel for the guilty! 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 And they ask: 'When will this promise come, if what you say is true' 71 Say: "The chastisement whose hastening you have been asking for, maybe a part of it has drawn quite near to you." 72 Verily your Lord is gracious to men, though most men are ungrateful. 73 Lo! thy Lord knoweth surely all that their bosoms hide, and all that they proclaim. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth, but is in a Clear Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 75 Verily this Qur'an recounteth with truth unto the Children of Isra'il much of that wherein they differ. 76 It is a guide and mercy for the believers. 77 Lo! thy Lord will judge between them of His wisdom, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 78 Therefore put your trust in Allah, for you are upon a clear truth. 79 Indeed the dead* do not listen to your call nor do the deaf* listen to your call, when they flee turning back. (The dead and deaf implies the disbelievers.) 80 nor can you guide the blind out of their error. You can make only those hear you who believe in Our revelations and surrender themselves to Us. 81 ۞ When the sentence will have been passed against them, We shall bring forth beastly brutes from the earth who will torment them, for men certainly do not believe Our signs. 82
