We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
