Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 who remembers the name of his Lord and prays, shall indeed be successful. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
