The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 and those that blow gently, 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 Lo! His Sustainer called out to him in the twice-hallowed valley: 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 So he showed him the great sign, 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned his back, striving. 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
