In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ All whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth proclaims the Purity of Allah, the King, the Most Pure, the Most Honourable, the Wise. 1 It is He who has raised among the unlettered people a messenger from among themselves who recites His revelations to them, and purifies them, and teaches them the Book and wisdom, for they had formerly been clearly misguided -- 2 and to others also, from among them, who have not yet joined them. He is the Mighty, the Wise One. 3 That is Allah's grace; He grants it to whom He pleases, and Allah is the Lord of mighty grace. 4 The likeness of those who were charged with (the law of) the Torah which they did not observe, is that of a donkey who carries a load of books (oblivious of what they contain). How wretched the semblance of the people who deny the words of God! God does not show an unjust people the way. 5 Say “O Jews! If you assume that you are Allah’s friends, others are not, then wish for death if you are truthful!” 6 And they will never wish therefor, because of that which their hands have sent forward. And Allah is the Knower of the wrong-doers. 7 Say: (As for) the death from which you flee, that will surely overtake you, then you shall be sent back to the Knower of the unseen and the seen, and He will inform you of that which you did. 8
