Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 161 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 162 Have fear of God and obey me. 163 I seek of you no reward. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 They said: if thou desistest not, O Lut! thou shalt surely be of those driven forth. 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 So We delivered him and his people all together, 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 Then We utterly destroyed the others. 172 and We rained on them a rain; and evil is the rain of them that are warned. 173 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
