AND THEY WILL ask thee about [what will happen to] the mountains [when this world comes to an end]. Say, then: "My Sustainer will scatter them far and wide, 105 and leave them a desolate waste, 106 [so that] thou wilt see no curve thereon, and no ruggedness. 107 That Day they shall follow the caller for whom there shall be no crookedness; and voices shall be humbled for the Compassionate; so that thou shalt not hear ought except pattering 108 On that Day intercession will not benefit them except him that has received the permission of the Merciful and whose words are pleased by Him. 109 He knows what is before them and behind them, and they comprehend Him not in knowledge. 110 ۞ (All) faces shall be humbled before the Living One, the Eternal. Those who are burdened with wrong doing shall have failed, 111 And whoever does good works and he is a believer, he shall have no fear of injustice nor of the withholding of his due. 112 And thus We have sent it down, an Arabic Recitation, and have propounded variously therein of the threats, that haply they may fear, or that it may generate in them some admonition. 113 High above all is Allah, the King, the Truth! Be not in haste with the Qur'an before its revelation to thee is completed, but say, "O my Lord! advance me in knowledge." 114 We made a covenant with Adam before you, but he forgot, and We found him lacking in constancy. 115
