Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 who know what you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
