The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 and those that blow gently, 2 And by those who float in space, 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 [HENCE, think of] the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world,] 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 and hastily turned away, 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
