The companions of the thicket denied the messengers 176 When Shu'aib (Shuaib) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah (and obey Him)? 177 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 178 I ask of you no wage for this; 179 And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 180 ۞ "Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others). 181 “And weigh with a proper balance.” 182 and do not diminish the goods of the people, and do not make mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! 185 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. 186 Let a part of the sky fall on us if what you say is true". 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. 189 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191
