Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 noble, recording, 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
