The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event will come to pass 1 (and none denies its descending) 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 when the earth shall be rocked 4 And the hills are ground to powder 5 and will scatter abroad into fine dust. 6 And ye shall be sorted out into three classes. 7 Those of the right hand -- how (happy) will be those of the right hand! 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 Those are the ones brought near [to Allah] 11 In the gardens of bliss. 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 And a few of those of later time. 14 (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones), 15 Reclining therein face to face. 16 There wait on them immortal youths 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 Wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication. 19 they will also go about them with the fruits of which they may choose, 20 And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire. 21 And (there will be) Companions with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes,- 22 The likes unto pearls hidden. 23 a recompense for that they laboured. 24 They will not hear any useless speech in it, or any sin. 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 They shall recline on high amidst lote trees without thorns 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 In shade long-extended, 30 and waters gushing, 31 and abundant fruit, 32 unfailing and not forbidden. 33 And on couches or thrones, raised high. 34 Lo! We have created them a (new) creation 35 and shall have made them virgins, 36 chaste, loving companions of the same age 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
