The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 161 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 What! do you come to the males from among the creatures 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you of your wives? Nay, you are a people exceeding limits. 166 They said: "If thou desist not, O Lut! thou wilt assuredly be cast out!" 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 My Lord! deliver me and my household from that which they work. 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 except an old woman who stayed behind, 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who had been warned. 173 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
