Jinns (Al-Jinn)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I have received the divine revelation that some jinns attentively listened to my recitation, so they said, ‘We have heard a unique Qur’an.’ 1 guiding to rectitude. We believe in it, and we will not associate with our Lord anyone. 2 And that He-- exalted be the majesty of our Lord-- has not taken a consort, nor a son: 3 And that our foolish one has been saying about Allah an excessive transgression. 4 'But we do think that no man or spirit should say aught that untrue against Allah. 5 But there were certain men from mankind who would take refuge with certain males from the jinn and they increased them in tyranny. 6 'And they (came to) think as ye thought, that Allah would not raise up any one (to Judgment). 7 and that “we tried to pry (the secrets of) the heaven, but we found it full of terrible guards and shooting meteors”; 8 notwithstanding that we were established in positions [which we had thought well-suited] to listening to [whatever secrets might be in] it: and anyone who now [or ever] tries to listen will [likewise] find a flame lying in wait for him! 9 And we know not whether harm is boded unto all who are in the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth guidance for them. 10 As for us, some of us are righteous and others are not. We have all followed different ways. 11 And we know that we cannot frustrate Allah in the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 and that “when we heard the teaching of the Right Way we came to believe in it; he who believes in His Lord shall have no fear of suffering loss or being subjected to any injustice”; 13 "'Yet [it is true] that among us are such as have surrendered themselves to God - just as there are among us such as have abandoned themselves to wrongdoing. Now as for those who surrender themselves to Him - it is they that have attained to consciousness of what is right; 14 And as for the Qasitun (disbelievers who deviated from the Right Path), they shall be firewood for Hell, 15 And had they kept to the path surely We would have watered them with rain plenteous. 16 that We might try them therein. And whosoever turns away from the Remembrance of his Lord, He will thrust him into chastisement rigorous. 17 The mosques are for God's worship -- so do not invoke anyone else along with God -- 18 ‘And that when Allah’s bondman stood up to worship Him, the jinns had almost crowded upon him.’” 19
