Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he too perish! 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5
