۞ "Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped- 22 Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire 23 Stop them. They must be questioned." 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 No, today they will resign themselves in submission, 26 And some of them inclined towards others, mutually questioning. 27 Some [of them] will say: "Behold, you were wont to approach us [deceptively] from the right!" 28 [To which] the others will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were bereft of all faith! 29 We had no authority over you, in fact, you were a rebellious people. 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 we perverted you, indeed, we were perverts' 32 Therefore, on that Day they will all share Our punishment. 33 Verily We! in this wise We deal with the culprits. 34 for, behold, whenever they were told, "There is no deity save God," they would glory in their arrogance 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 (They say so although) he brought the Truth and confirmed the veracity of the Messengers. 37 Lo! (now) verily ye taste the painful doom - 38 but you shall not be recompensed except for what you were doing. 39 Not so, however, God's true servants: 40 Whose provision is predetermined -- 41 Fruits; and they will be honoured. 42 In gardens of delight, 43 facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 White and delicious to the drinkers; 46 Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes, 48 so delicate as the hidden peel under an egg's shell. 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth] 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 "'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'" 53 He will say, "Would you [care to] look?" 54 Then he looked down and saw him in the midst of hell. 55 and says: "By God! Verily, thou hast almost destroyed me [too, O my erstwhile companion] 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 (Another will say:)"Is it true, we are not going to die 58 except for our first death? And shall we suffer no chastisement?'” 59 Verily this! that is the supreme achievement. 60 For this the toilers should strive." 61 So is this welcome better, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Lo! We have appointed it a torment for wrong-doers. 63 (Zaqqum) is a tree which grows from the deepest part of hell, 64 its spathes are as the heads of Satans, 65 They will eat and fill their bellies with it, 66 Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water. 67 And thereafter verily their return is unto the Flaming Fire. 68 Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path; 69 So in their footsteps they are being hastened on. 70 Thus, indeed, most of the people of old went astray before them, 71 And We had sent admonishers to them. 72 Therefore see what sort of fate befell those who were warned! 73 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 74

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
