Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 Noble and recording; 11 Who know what you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 to burn therein. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
