The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the morning hours 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
