The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
