It is He who gave you ears, eyes and hearts, yet how seldom you are grateful! 78 It is He Who has dispersed you all around the earth, and it is unto Him that you shall all be mustered. 79 It is He who gives life and causes death and it is He who alternates night and day. Will you not then understand? 80 Nay, but they said the like of what the ancients said. 81 They say: when we are dead, and have become dust and bones, shall we verily be raised up? 82 Assuredly this we have been promised - we and our fathers - aforetime: naught is this but the fables of the ancients. 83 Say, "To whom do the earth and all therein belong? Tell me, if you have any knowledge?" 84 They will say, "To God." Say, "So will you not pay heed? 85 Ask them, "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Great Throne?" 86 They will say, "[They belong] to Allah." Say, "Then will you not fear Him?" 87 Say: Who is it in Whose hand is the kingdom of all things and Who gives succor, but against Him Succor is not given, if you do but know? 88 They will reply spontaneously, "It is God." Ask them, "Why has falsehood bewitched you?" 89 We have sent them the truth and they, certainly, are liars. 90 Allah has not taken any son, nor has there ever been with Him any deity. [If there had been], then each deity would have taken what it created, and some of them would have sought to overcome others. Exalted is Allah above what they describe [concerning Him]. 91 The knower of the absent and the present, too exalted is He for what they associate (with Him)! 92
