۞ When the son of Mary is mentioned as an example, your people turn away from it 57 and say: 'What, are our gods better, or is he?' They do not mention him to you except to dispute, truly, they are a contentious nation. 58 Jesus was not but a servant upon whom We bestowed favor, and We made him an example for the Children of Israel. 59 If We pleased We could have put angels in place of you as trustees on the earth. 60 (Muhammad), tell them, "Jesus is a sign of the Hour of Doom. Have no doubt about it and follow me; this is the straight path. 61 Let not Satan misdirect you. He is your open enemy. 62 When Jesus came with Clear Signs, he said: "Now have I come to you with Wisdom, and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) on which ye dispute: therefore fear Allah and obey me. 63 Lo! Allah, He is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him. This is a right path. 64 Then the sects differed among themselves. Woe then unto those who do Wrong because of the torment of an afflictive Day. 65 Await they aught save the Hour, that it shall come upon them suddenly, when they know not? 66 The friends shall on that day be enemies one to another, except those who guard (against evil). 67
