Sheba (Saba)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
ALL PRAISE BE to God to whom belongs whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth, and His the praise in the world to come. He is all-wise and all-knowing. 1 He knows all that enters the earth, and all that comes out of it, as well as all that descends from the skies, and all that ascends to them. And He alone is a dispenser of grace, truly-forgiving. 2 Those who disbelieve say: "The Hour will not come to us." Say: "Yes, by my Lord, it will come to you." (Allah, He is) the AllKnower of the unseen, not even the weight of an atom (or a small ant) or less than that or greater, escapes from His Knowledge in the heavens or in the earth, but it is in a Clear Book (AlLauh AlMahfuz). 3 That He may recompense these who believed and worked righteous works. Those! theirs shall be forgiveness and a generous provision. 4 But those who strive against Our verses [seeking] to cause failure - for them will be a painful punishment of foul nature. 5 And who have been vouchsafed knowledge beholding that the Book which hath been sent down unto thee from thy Lord, it is the truth and it guideth unto the path of the Mighty, the Praiseworthy, 6 The unbelievers have said, "Should we tell you about a man who says that you will be brought back to life again after your having been completely disintegrated? 7 Hath he invented a lie concerning Allah, or is there in him a madness? Nay, but those who disbelieve in the Hereafter are in torment and far error. 8 Then, do they not look at what is before them and what is behind them of the heaven and earth? If We should will, We could cause the earth to swallow them or [could] let fall upon them fragments from the sky. Indeed in that is a sign for every servant turning back [to Allah]. 9
