T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy, 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 God: There is no god but He. To Him belong the attributes most beautiful. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Moses? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. 13 I am God. There is no deity save Me; so worship Me alone, and say your prayers in My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 So he threw it down, and all of a sudden, it turned into a fast-moving serpent. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
