(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 And make my mission easy. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 "And appoint for me a helper from my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Add Thou through him to my strength, 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 and remember You much: 34 Verily, You have always watched over us." 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 We have again bestowed Our favour upon you. 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 Place him in a chest and throw it into the river, and thereupon the river will cast him ashore, [and] one who is an enemy unto Me and an enemy unto him will adopt him. "And [thus early] I spread Mine Own love over thee - and [this] in order that thou might be formed under Mine eye. 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 I have chosen you for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 "Go, both of you, to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant). 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 'O our Lord' both said, 'We fear lest he may be excessive against us or become insolent' 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 “Therefore go to him and say, ‘We are the sent ones of your Lord, therefore let the Descendants of Israel go with us, and do not trouble them; we have indeed brought to you a sign from your Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance.’ 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50 He (Pharaoh) asked: 'How was it then, with the former generations' 51 He said, “Their knowledge is with my Lord, (recorded) in a Book; my Lord neither strays nor forgets.” 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
