The unbelievers say: "When we become dust, we and our forefathers, shall we really be brought out (from our graves)? 67 Indeed we and our fathers had been promised this before. It is nothing but the earlier people's lore." 68 Say: 'Journey in the land and see what was the end of the sinners' 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 And they (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) say: "When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if you are truthful?" 71 Say: "It may be that some of the events which ye wish to hasten on may be (close) in your pursuit!" 72 Indeed Your Lord is exceedingly bountiful to mankind. Yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 But, verily, thy Sustainer knows all that their hearts conceal as well as all that they bring into the open: 74 Nor is there aught of the unseen, in heaven or earth, but is (recorded) in a clear record. 75 This Quran explains to the children of Israel much of what they differ over, 76 And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. 77 Indeed, your Lord will judge between them by His [wise] judgement. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. 78 So put your trust in Allah; surely, you (O Muhammad SAW) are on manifest truth. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 nor can you direct the blind to the Right Way, preventing them from falling into error. You can make only those who believe in Our verses to hear the call and then submit. 81 ۞ And when the word shall come to be fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth speaking unto them, that the people have not of Our signs been convinced. 82
