And the disbelievers said, “Will we, when we and our forefathers have turned into dust, be removed again?” 67 We and our fathers were promised this before; these are but old stories." 68 “Proclaim, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Travel in the land and see what sort of fate befell the guilty.” 69 But grieve not over them, nor distress thyself because of their plots. 70 And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?” 71 Say: "Perhaps some of what you wish to hasten is right behind you." 72 Indeed your Lord is Most Munificent upon mankind, but most men do not give thanks. 73 Surely, your Lord knows what they hide in their hearts and what they reveal. 74 There is not a thing hidden in the heaven and earth except that it is in a Clear Book. 75 Verily, this Quran narrates to the Children of Israel most of that about which they differ. 76 And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. 77 Verily, [O believer,] thy Sustainer will judge between them in His wisdom - for He alone is almighty, all-knowing. 78 Therefore put your trust in Allah, for you are upon a clear truth. 79 Surely you cannot make the dead hear you, nor can you make the deaf hear your call if they turn back in flight, 80 nor can you direct the blind to the Right Way, preventing them from falling into error. You can make only those who believe in Our verses to hear the call and then submit. 81 ۞ And when the time for the fulfilment of Our Word against them will come, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth who will speak to them because people did not believe in Our Signs. 82
