The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 in endless columns! 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
