O you who believe, seek courage in fortitude and prayer, for God is with those who are patient and persevere. 153 And say not of those who are slain in the way of Allah: dead. Nay, they are living, but ye perceive not. 154 Be sure We shall try you with something of fear and hunger and loss of wealth and life and the fruits (of your labour); but give tidings of happiness to those who have patience, 155 Those who say, when afflicted with a calamity, "We belong to God and to Him we shall return," 156 Their Lord will bestow great blessings and mercy upon them; such are the people who are rightly guided. 157 ۞ [Hence,] behold, As-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the symbols set up by God; and thus, no wrong does he who, having come to the Temple on pilgrimage or on a pious visit, strides to and fro between these two: for, if one does more good than he is bound to do - behold, God is responsive to gratitude, all-knowing. 158 Surely those who conceal the clear proofs and the guidance that We revealed after We made it clear in the Book for men, these it is whom Allah shall curse, and those who curse shall curse them (too). 159 Except those who repent and do reform and disclose (the truth) – so I will accept their repentance; and I only am the Most Acceptor of Repentance, the Most Merciful. 160 Those who deny My existence and die with such attitude will be subject to the condemnation of God, the angels, and all people. 161 Abiding in it; their chastisement shall not be lightened nor shall they be given respite. 162 And the God of you all is one God; there is no God but He, the Compassionate, the Merciful. 163
