And indeed We rescued the Descendants of Israel from a disgraceful torture. 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 We knowingly chose them above all other people 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 These people say, 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back to us our fathers if you are truthful.” 36 Are they better, or the folk of Tubb'a and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for Our own amusement. 38 We created them in nothing else except the truth. But most do not know. 39 Assuredly the Day of Decision is the term for all of them, 40 (when wrong will be distinguished from right). On this day friends will be of no benefit to one another, nor will they receive any help 41 Except such as receive Allah's Mercy: for He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 42
