۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 which none shall touch except the purified; 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Is it such a talk (this Quran) that you (disbelievers) deny? 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, 83 Whereas you watch at that moment! 84 We are closer to him than you, even though you cannot see? 85 Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed, 86 why are you then not able to bring them back to life if you are truthful? 87 If he is among the near 88 Then happiness and bounty and a garden of bliss. 89 If he is of those of the right hand, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Surely this is the truth of certainty. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah). Sent down in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
