T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. 3 a revelation from Him who created the earth and the high heavens; 4 the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. 7 Allah – there is no worship except for Him; His only are the best names. 8 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 “Indeed I am your Lord, therefore take off your shoes; indeed you are in the holy valley of Tuwa!” 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 Verily I am God; there is no god but I; therefore serve Me, and perform the prayer of My remembrance. 14 The Hour of Resurrection is coming. I have willed to keep the time of its coming hidden so that everyone may be recompensed in accordance with his effort. 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 "Now, what is this in thy right hand, O Moses?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 Allah said: cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. 20 Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, 22 "That We may show you (some) of Our Greater Signs. 23 "Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant)." 24
