(Sometimes later), the King dreamt that seven lean cows were eating seven fat ones and that there were seven green ears of corn and seven dry ones. He asked the nobles to tell him the meaning of his dream if they were able to. 43 They answered: " [This is one of] the most involved and confusing of dreams, and we have no deep knowledge of the real meaning of dreams." 44 After all that time, the one of the two who had been saved remembered, he said: 'I will interpret it for you, so let me go' 45 [He said], "Joseph, O man of truth, explain to us about seven fat cows eaten by seven [that were] lean, and seven green spikes [of grain] and others [that were] dry - that I may return to the people; perhaps they will know [about you]." 46 He said: Ye shall sow seven years as usual, but that which ye reap, leave it in the ear, all save a little which ye eat. 47 “Then after that will come seven hard years which will devour all that you had stored for them, except a little which you may save.” 48 Then thereafter will come a year wherein mankind will have rain and wherein they will press. 49
