Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
