The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 who determined and guided, 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 Then maketh it to stubble dusky. 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease you to the easy. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
