Dawn (Al-Fajr)
30 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Night (Al-Layl) before The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the dawn, 1 by the Ten (secret) Nights, 2 by the even, and the odd, 3 The night as it advances, 4 There is indeed in them (the above oaths) sufficient proofs for men of understanding (and that, they should avoid all kinds of sins and disbeliefs, etc.)! 5 Bethinkest thou not in what wise thy Lord did with the 'A'ad: 6 With many-columned Iram, 7 The like of whom were never created in the realm; 8 And with the Thamud (people), who cut out (huge) rocks in the valley?- 9 and with Pharaoh of the [many] tent-poles? 10 Who terrorised the region, 11 So they made great mischief therein? 12 Therefore did thy Lord pour on them a scourge of diverse chastisements: 13 Indeed, your Lord is in observation. 14 As for man, when his Lord tries him by giving him honour and gifts, then he says (puffed up): "My Lord has honoured me." 15 But when He trieth him, restricting his subsistence for him, then saith he (in despair), "My Lord hath humiliated me!" 16 No indeed, but you show no kindness to the orphan, 17 and do not urge one another to feed the poor, 18 And you devour inheritance all with greed, 19 and you ardently love wealth. 20 No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed - 21 And when the command of your Lord comes and the angels row by row, 22 and Gehenna is brought out, upon that day man will remember; and how shall the Reminder be for him? 23 He will say: "Oh, would that I had provided beforehand for my life [to come]!" 24 Then on that Day Allah will chastise as none other can chastise; 25 And none can bind as He will bind. 26 O you tranquil soul, 27 "Come back to your Lord, Well-pleased (yourself) and well-pleasing unto Him! 28 Then enter the ranks of My chosen bondmen! 29 Enter then My garden." 30
Almighty Allah's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
