The Mountain (Al-Toor)
49 verses, revealed in Mecca after Prostration (Al-Sajdah) before Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Mount, 1 And by oath of a passage, written – 2 on wide-open scrolls. 3 And the House frequented, 4 And the roof exalted, 5 And by the Ocean filled with Swell;- 6 The punishment of your Lord is certain to come. 7 There is none who could avert it. 8 on the Day when the skies are convulsed, 9 And the mountains will pass on, departing - 10 Will be the day of woe for those 11 Those who sport entering into vain discourses. 12 That Day shall they be thrust down to the Fire of Hell, irresistibly. 13 (it will be said to them): 'This is the Fire which you belied! 14 Is this magic? or ye still see not clearly! 15 [Enter to] burn therein; then be patient or impatient - it is all the same for you. You are only being recompensed [for] what you used to do." 16 Verily the God-fearing will be in Gardens and Delight. 17 Enjoying what their Lord has given them, and their Lord protected them from the punishment of Hellfire. 18 Eat and drink pleasantly for what you did, 19 They will be reclining on thrones lined up, and We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes. 20 We shall unite the believers with those descendants of theirs who followed them in their faith, and shall not deny them any part of the reward for their good deeds. Every person is pledged to what he did. 21 We shall give them fruits and meats, and what they desire. 22 They shall pass therein from one to another a cup wherein there shall be nothing vain nor any sin. 23 ۞ They will be waited upon by immortal youths, like pearls hidden in their shells. 24 And some of them shall advance towards others questioning each other. 25 Saying: Surely we feared before on account of our families: 26 "But Allah has been gracious to us, and has saved us from the torment of the Fire. 27 before this, we used to pray to Him. Surely, He is the Beneficent, the Merciful." 28

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
