The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 by the promised day, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
