The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Event inevitable cometh to pass, 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 (Many) will it bring low; (many) will it exalt; 3 when the earth shall be rocked 4 and the mountains crumbled, 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 So those on the right – how (fortunate) are those on the right! 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 As for the Foremost, they will be the foremost! 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 In gardens of tranquility; 12 A multitude of those of old 13 And a few of those of later time. 14 Seated on couches wrought in gold and encrusted with precious stones, 15 Reclining face to face. 16 Immortal youths will serve them 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers – and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 and with fruit of any kind that they may choose, 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 and there shall be wide-eyed maidens, 22 The likenesses of pearls well-protected, 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 But only the saying of: Salam!, Salam! (greetings with peace)! 26 And those on the right – how (fortunate) are those on the right! 27 (will be) among thornless Lote trees. 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 In shade long-extended, 30 And water poured out 31 And abundant fruit, 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 And [with them will be their] spouses, raised high: 34 Surely We have made them to grow into a (new) growth, 35 having resurrected them as virgins, 36 Loving, of equal age. 37 For the sake of the companions of the right hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
